Tim’s Birthday!

For Tim’s 46th birthday, Curt pulled off a double surprise. Instead of a wonderful dinner-for-two at X20 in Yonkers, we arrived to find Nancy (from next door) and sister-in-law Betsy sitting at the bar! Betsy had come up by train to surprise Tim, and she was successful. Totally caught off guard, Tim had a great time at dinner catching up. We indulged in our favorite X20 tradition – 4 people/5 appetizers/5 desserts. Works for me.
Tim would have stayed home from work the next day, but he had a bride coming in for an appointment. Betsy and Curt filled the day until her returned with lots of . . . errands. Our evening plan included meeting friends Robert & Kenny at Underhill Crossing in Bronxville. Nancy was going along with us, so Tim rang her next door doorbell to hurry her along — and she opened the door to 30 friends waiting inside! Pulling a surprise on Tim McVey is not easy! He is so observant of details, so I’m very proud that I managed to pull this off! Great food, wonderful friends, and a damn good cake made for a terrific evening.
