Prism XXII
This Tuesday, I will conduct my final Prism Concert at NVOT, the twenty-second such concert I’ve produced there. If you have never seen this type of concert, I encourage you to join us — Tuesday, March 19 at 8:00 pm, at Northern Valley-Old Tappan. The concert features the NVOT Wind Symphony, Concert Band, String Ensemble, Jazz Band, and chamber ensembles. The Westchester Ceremonial Brass is our featured guest ensemble.
June events
The NVOT Music Parents have set up a Facebook page to publicize events scheduled to celebrate my retirement. (Who knew so many people would go to such lengths to make sure I leave?!?!) If you have a Facebook account, search for “Friends of Curt Ebersole,” and Like the page so you get updates. LInks for reserving seats at the Retirement Celebration Dinner and registering to play in the massed Alumni/Community String Orchestra and Symphonic Band will also be posted on this page, as well as on my blog here as soon as they are ready.
These events have been confirmed for the month of June:
- June 3 at 7:00 pm – Retirement Celebration Dinner at Rockleigh Country Club. Reservations required.
- June 5 (evening) – Rehearsals at NVOT for the massed Alumni/Community and NVOT String Orchestra and Symphonic Band, which will perform on the Awards Concert. Registration and confirmation required to participate. (Sorry, I need to limit this to alumni and colleagues who play on a regular basis — for example in a community band/orchestra.)
- June 11 at 7:30 pm – Awards Concert at NVOT. Program will include:
- Alumni/Community and NVOT String Orchestra – Lauridsen – O Magnum Mysterium; Bach – Brandenburg #3 (first movement)
- Alumni/Community and NVOT Symphonic Band and Antiphonal Brass Choirs- Kalinnikov – Finale, from Symphony No. 1
